I Am Very Saddened By The Death Of Country Music Artist Naomi Judd

The Term ‘Deeply Saddened’ Is An Understatement With Regards To How I Feel About Naomi Judd’s Death By Suicide

The Term ‘Deeply Saddened’ Is An Understatement With Regards To How I Feel About Naomi Judd’s Death By Suicide

The term ‘deeply saddened’ is an understatement with regards to how I feel about Naomi Judd’s death by suicide.

Naomi Judd and her daughter Wynonna Judd are both morally decent human beings.

Personally, the Judds and I each have a lot in common.

Everything from Naomi, Wynonna, and Ashley Judds’ rape by men when they were each at a young age; the Judds moving from Kentucky to California and back, Naomi’s divorce from her first husband Michael Ciminella, the Judds having relocated from Kentucky to Tenneessee in 1979, the Judds living in Poverty while living in Kentucky and then Tenneessee, the Judds knocking on the doors of Record Companies in Nashville with no success at first, Naomi; while working as a Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit of Williamson County Hospital, had treated Record Producer Brent Maher’s daughter Diana Maher (not to be confused with Naomi’s real name being Diana Judd), Naomi giving Mr. Maher’s wife a poor-quality Demo Audio Cassette Tape for her husband to possibly solicit while tending to their daughter in the Hospital, Brent Maher’s wife hounding Brent, himself to listen to this Demo Cassette Tape, also stating that Naomi the Nurse was infinitely nice to their daughter, and Brent’s wife gave her husband an ultimatum, being that either Brent listens to the Demo Cassette Tape, or he is not to return home. Brent caving in, listening to the Demo Audio Cassette Tape in his Car while on his way to work, being utterly impressed with Naomi and Wynonna’s talent, inviting them to audition for RCA Records’ Nashville Division; them ultimately landing a contract with RCA Records’ Nashville Division, their days of being destitute being over, and them ultimately joining the ranks of other fellow Country Music Artists such as Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, George Jones, Tammy Wynette; and Lorrie Morgan. Later, Naomi would fall victim to Hepatitis C; likely as a result of accidentally poking herself with needles that she had injected patients she had tended to while working as a Nurse at several Hospitals in Kentucky and Tennessee, and Naomi was forced to resign and retire from the Music Industry that she is so passionate about. Wynonna, after some hesitation; would go on to have an equally successful Solo career upon her mother retiring, and the intermittent breakup of The Judds musical group.

Poverty is not what I have in common with the Judds. Our interests, and the type of people the Judds and I each are; are what we have in common.

For the record, I am only interested in Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, George Jones, Tammy Wynette; and Lorrie Morgan’s songs that have made the Adult Contemporary charts, and not their core Country Music songs.

I Am Very Saddened By The Death Of Motown Records Songwriter And One Of The Founders Of HDH Records, Lamont Dozier

I am very saddened by the death of Motown Records Songwriter, and one of the founders of HDH Records; Lamont Dozier.

Lamont Dozier, along with brothers Brian and Eddie Holland; had formed a legendary songwriting team within Motown Records during the early -mid 1960’s. By 1968, the three would leave Motown Records; and founded their own Record company: HDH Records, which also owned and operated the Hot Wax and Invictus Record Labels.

Lamont Dozier, along with brothers Brian and Eddie Holland had left Motown Records; and founded HDH Records because the three wanted more control and greater rewards for the Music Singles and Albums that they produced, released, and sold to the Public and to Radio Stations located in the entire world over, than what their former boss Berry Gordy Jr. were willingly and ably ever provide to them.

A little over a year ago (as of the time of writing this post), Lamont Dozier’s wife Barbara Ullman-Dozier had passed away.

I Am Saddened By The Death Of Australian Singer Judith Durham

I am saddened by the death of Australian Singer Judith Durham.

Judith Durham’s death had actually occurred three days before fellow Australian Singer and Actress Olivia Newton-John’s death.

Like Olivia Newton-John, Judith Durham is also an Australian of British descent.

For my thoughts about Olivia Newton-John’s death, and my condolences towards Olivia Newton-John’s family, please see this earlier post:
